COLOSSEUM
PENTHOUSE
Ascend to the top floor to enter your private viewing theatre for marvelling the world’s most majestic ancient monument.
Dedication to genuine Italian craftsmanship is what really sets the Colosseum Penthouse apart. From upholstered walls in fine Italian fabric and hand-painted frescoes that adorn the ceilings to the tasteful furnishings and private art collection that features antique and modern paintings, prints and collages, every angle is a feast for the eyes.
The Colosseum Penthouse is composed of three bedroom suites, each with its own ensuite bathroom, and comfortably accommodates up to six guests. All bedrooms are located on the entry level of the home, all connected by the entrance foyer with a spiral staircase that leads to the upper floor. The service kitchen and a powder room are also located on this floor.
The upper level is dedicated to an open living room with a formal dining area (with direct service to the kitchen via dumbwaiter). Watch the colors on the Colosseum change throughout the day from every angle of the room, under its sculpted ceiling and tastefully furnished sitting areas. The adjacent veranda is enclosed in glass panels which can be opened when the weather permits, offering an extension to the adjacent outdoor terrace.
Other key features of the home include:
The palatial primary bedroom opens onto an intimate sitting room lined with antique books and a framed view of the Colosseum, contemporary art, and a sealed fireplace with an intricate handcrafted mantle. The private bathroom features a commodious jacuzzi tub set in polished white Lasa marble. The bedroom boasts a king-size bed framed in fine Italian draperies and tassels designed especially for this home, a luxurious chaise lounge and writing desk, and a spacious walk-in closet. The finest bespoke Italian carpentry and upholstery craftsmanship decorate every surface of the bedroom, providing a suitable frame for the same sweeping views of the Colosseum as from the terrace above.
The second bedroom offers a queen-size bed, a spacious walk-in closet and additional views of the Colosseum. The ensuite bath features a spacious tub shower and double vanity, clad in sparkling red persian travertine.
The third bedroom features a queen-size bed with views onto the Domus Aurea archeological site and lush Oppian Hill with its characteristic umbrella pine trees.
The spiral staircase in the entrance vestibule leads to the living room and dining area, a vast open space with curated seating areas and an elegant dining area set against decorated panels detailed with classical paintings and antique mirrors. The panels contain storage for various ceramic dining services and the dumbwaiter that connects the dining area with the kitchen below.
Just off the living room, the enclosed veranda offers indoor-outdoor space all year round. The veranda is furnished with a large built-in sofa, a fine marquetry card table and plush armchairs for lounging. On sunny Roman days, the entire glass enclosure opens to create an extension of the terrace, which is also furnished with iron garden furniture.
Beyond the high level of comfort and privacy at each home, our services and amenities are designed to meet the same extraordinary standard.
